I will continue operating this science journalism site regardless if it generates no income or even costs money. Even the most aggressive lawyer’s threats and blackmail (here, here and here) are not likely to stop it.
Status 22.11.2017: there are currently THREE court trials running against my reporting in Germany, both by doctors involved into Macchiarini-related trachea transplants. All are financially ruinous, this is why I need your financial support, however small (ways to support, see below). The goal of these ruthless doctors is to silence my reporting about their deeds, and to cause a financial ruin to my family and a subsequent prison term for me. This is not an exaggeration.
Heike and Throsten Walles, former partners of Macchiarini, issued a bizarre court injunction against me, for simple quoting from a book about their earlier trachea transplants. It ended with an “amicable agreement” in an appeal court in Bamberg, but the Würzburg court followed it up with a baseless threat to remind me that bankruptcy and prison awaits me if I continue Walles reporting (read here).
Philipp Jungebluth, Macchiarini’s right-hand man, presented himself to a court in Berlin as an life-saving angel of innocence to trick the court into passing an injunction against me. While no appeal date with higher court is set against that, another injunction came from the same judge in Berlin, based on a false translation and misinformation Jungebluth served to court. Now Jungebluth declares to have had nothing at all to do with Macchiarini’s trachea transplants, which the judge found as credible as that Jungebluth used to save lives with those same transplants, for the previous injunction. Both cases will have to be dealt in an appeal court, or maybe above.
Therefore, please donate, there is no minimum amount. Eurozone residents could wire directly to my German bank account so we both avoid any bank fees. For others, I made a Patreon site.
You can also offer me jobs or speaking gigs. You can buy my original cartoons, or order new ones. You (or your research institution) can also invite me as a paid conference speaker or student tutor, my main subjects are research integrity and academic publishing. I am also available as free-lance journalist for science-interested media.
As a private person, I cannot register as a charity, thus your donations are not tax-deductible. I will of course provide a proper receipt for my services as cartoonist or journalist, if you should engage them.
Please understand that your donations and work offers will not influence the topics and angles of my journalism.
If interested, please contact me here or go straight to my Patreon site. There is also this simple one-time donation option:

If you are interested to support my work, you can leave here a small tip of $5. Or several of small tips, just increase the amount as you like. Your generous patronage of my journalism, however small it appears to you, will greatly help me with my legal costs.
€5,00
If you can’t help financially, you can still promote my site and share its articles in your online and real-life social networks. And please, do alert main media journalists. This would be an excellent help as well.
Thank you all in advance.
Yours,
Leonid Schneider
