Title: The doctor mafia: Meet Dr. Fletcher, the ripper
Post by: NoRPthun on February 10, 2019, 01:37:49 PM
Meet "Dr." Fletcher, the guy who denies you health insurance. He wants YOUR money!

His "medical training" is more than dubious, his rip-off methods are outrageous, and his fraudulent "treatments" are a case for the court.

Do note: "BEMER" is a manufacturer of fake medical devices. The "magnetic" treatment is bullshit and does not work. Fletcher rips off his patients hundreds of Dollars for total shit.

Meet the Doctor

Meet Dr. Fletcher

Dr. Brandon Fletcher was born and raised by a single mom in a farm country of Eastern North Carolina. His mother was the nurse manager of Endoscopy and PACU, instilling early the importance of dedication, hard work, and compassion in her son. Dr. Fletcher knew he wanted to be a doctor when he grew up but that road was not going to be easy. He graduated from East Carolina University in 2001 and worked as a nurses aide at his mom’s hospital while applying to medical school. Dr. Fletcher moved to the island of St. Martin to attend the American University of the Caribbean for medical school for two years before returning to the mainland for his clinicalcal years, which he spent in New York City and Baltimore. He returned to East Carolina University for his residency in Family Medicine at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University at Vidant Medical Center, a 1000+bed trauma center. Upon graduation of residency, Dr. Fletcher took a position at his home hospital where he was born and his mother had retired from, as a hospitalist. Eventually moving to Florida with his new wife, he continued to work as a hospitalist covering Florida Hospital Altamonte, East, Orlando, and Celebration.

In 2018, Dr. Fletcher and his nurse wife Emily finally accepted God’s calling to return to family medicine. From his Southern roots and the idea that healthcare should be simple and effective and delivered with compassion, Nostalgia Family Medicine was born. The motto “Modern medicine delivered the old fashioned way” is not just a tag line but literally the way Dr. Fletcher practices healthcare. The practice of medicine should be evidence based but simple with the heart of the matter within the doctor-patient relationship. Patients should be able to get to know their doctor and restore trust in his judgement. Insurance companies have their place but should not be making decisions about the well-being of the patient, which they have not met, assessed, or been trained to treat.

Nostalgia Family Medicine is a direct primary care model practice. This means we do not accept health insurance and therefore do not answer to insurance companies or the government. This reduces costs for the patient. Dr. Fletcher can discuss with the patient his recommendations and they can decide how to proceed without waiting on pre-approvals and appealing decisions.

TWO YEARS of "medical" "education" in a spurious quack factory!?

"island of St. Martin to attend the American University of the Caribbean for medical school for two years"

This guy is not more than a naturopath. No real medical degree. No comparison to what a REAL MEDICAL DOCTOR from a REAL university has to learn to get his medical degrees and licenses.

This is fake, nothing but fake. And it claims to be based on christian religion: "In 2018, Dr. Fletcher and his nurse wife Emily finally accepted God’s calling to return to family medicine."

If there were a real god, he would send thunder and lightning to weed out this attack on patients' lives.

To give you an idea about REAL medical education: In Germany a student has to learn 14 years until his has his title of a "Facharzt".

Okay, I don't want to advertise for patient tourism. But one thing is for sure: the US system of healthcare is a disaster.

In case you want to know about the greedy private "university" company business, have a look at the fees of St. Maarten "American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine" on the island "St. Martin":

Financial Aid

American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine is committed to providing medical students with information to help them fund their education through student loan programs and medical school financial aid. Various tuition payment options are available.
Federal Direct Loan Program

AUC is approved for participation in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program (Direct Loans). Students who wish to participate are required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Graduate/professional level students are considered independent by federal regulations for the Direct Loans; therefore it is not necessary to supply parental information. AUC’s school code for completing the FAFSA form is G22444.

Qualified citizens and eligible non-citizens of the United States may be eligible to receive medical school financial aid from the Direct Loan programs up to the cost of attendance (tuition, books & supplies, accommodation and travel).
Medical School Scholarships

AUC offers a variety of scholarships to assist students in funding their education. Please review our scholarship offerings to see if you qualify.

Canadian Students

Canadian students should consult with their province regarding Caribbean medical school financial aid resources available to them.

Veterans

Veterans and their dependents may receive funding per the eligibility requirements set by the Veteran’s Administration. Contact the VA at 1-888-442-4551.

    Withdrawals and Refunds

Federal Return of Funds Policy: According to federal regulations, a federal refund calculation must be performed if a student receiving financial aid withdraws completely from all classes after the start of the enrollment period.

Length of enrollment is equal to the number of calendar days, including weekends and holidays, in the periods in which the student was registered. Breaks of five days or more are excluded.

The withdrawal date is the date the student begins the official withdrawal process -- electronically, in writing, or by telephone, whichever is earlier -- or otherwise officially notifies the institution of his/her intent to withdraw. For students who withdraw without notification, the school may use either the last date of academic attendance or the midpoint of the enrollment period as the withdrawal date. Failure to notify the Financial Aid Office of a withdrawal may result in additional tuition liability.

Return of funds is calculated as follows:
If the student’s percentage of enrollment period completed is greater than 60 percent, the student has earned – and must repay – 100 percent of the federal aid received.
If the student’s percentage of enrollment period completed is 60 percent or less, the calculated percentage of enrollment will be used to determine the amount of aid returned.

Federal aid refunds are distributed in the following order:
        Unsubsidized Direct Federal Stafford Loan
        Subsidized Direct Federal Stafford Loan
        Federal PLUS Loan
        Federal Pell Grant
Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
        Other Title IV aid programs
State grants, and/or private or other institutional aid
        To the student

Learn more about refunds of tuition and fees or about return of Title IV funds.

    Accounts Receivable

Any student who pays tuition and fees after the first day of classes will be charged a $100 late fee; any student with a delinquent account will be notified by the second week of the term that he or she must be financially clear by the end of the fourth week of the term; and any student who fails to fulfill the finance condition (is not financially clear by the end of the fourth week) will be involuntarily withdrawn from enrollment and his or her transcript will reflect a "W" grade for courses undertaken in that term. Standard cancellation and refund policies will apply to the balance of the account due.

Program fees effective as of September 2017. Subject to change without notice. Please see the Student Handbook for tuition and refund policies. Students must pay for all courses taken.

The United States Department of Education, via the National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation (NCFMEA), reviews the standards that countries use to accredit medical schools. The NCFMEA has determined that the ACCM’s accreditation standards are comparable to those set by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME), which accredits medical education programs in the United States.
