Subject: [healthfraud] Alphabiotics neck manipulative technique used by DeStress Wellness Center in Mesa, Arizona

The following is a link to an article that appeared on the East Valley
Tribune's web site on September 28, 2006. The fact that Ms. Harshman
said that she plied her trade at a fund raiser for Multiple Sclerosis in
Mesa is really offensive to those victims of MS who really need help
from experts who are licensed to practice one of the regulated health
professions.

It would appear that in the photo in the East Valley Tribune that Diane
Harshman is practicing a controlled act in the State of Arizona. It
looks to me like high neck manipulation.

Here is a link to her own web site:

I suggest that those of you who are interested in high neck manipulation
may want to go to my web site and follow the links from there for
details about what can happen to some people who have their neck
manipulated.

Follow the links to the videos and the results of the harmful effects of
high neck manipulation.

The Arizona Board of Chiropractic Examiners should take immediate action
and Harshman's clients should be warned about what she is doing. Instead
your paper gave Harshman publicity that could harm the public.

The fact that the chairman of the Board of Chiropractic Examiners said
that, "...there is a school of thought among chiropractors that the
entire body can be realigned through manipulation of the head and neck
only" is totally and completely unaccepted.

The fact is that high neck manipulation is dangerous and uncontrolled.
Just because some chiropractors do it doesn't make it safe or effective
for any conditions.

Sincerely,

Terry Polevoy
